• 18 years of age at time of hiring.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
• Eagerness to commit.
• Must be able to attend meetings and training drills each month. Portage Fire Rescue has been busy throughout 2026 caring for the citizens of Portage and the surrounding communities. Our members continue to respond to a wide variety of emergency calls while maintaining a strong focus on training, education, and preparedness.

The following information provides a snapshot of our activity during the month of August and highlights our service to the community so far in 2026. We are proud of the dedication and professionalism our members demonstrate every day and appreciate the continued support of the communities we serve.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT - AUGUST 4, 2026 5:00-7:30PM

We are excited to host a Superhero Themed National Night Out at Collipp Worden Park on August 4, 2026, from 5:00-7:30pm. Please come out and join us for a fun and free family event. As a part of this event, we are asking that you bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Portage Food Pantry, as they are in need of our support to help combat hunger within our community.
