The Little School Inc. The Little School Inc. is a Parent Cooperative Preschool serving Portage area families. The Little School is "where learning is fun"! :)

We are a state licensed preschool which is non-profit, non-discriminatory, and non-sectarian. Our preschool is based on play, nurturing care, and respect for all people. Children are supported to ask questions, seek solutions, develop friendships, and explore both creatively and intellectually. The Little School has a bright, welcoming classroom; a beautiful, enclosed outdoor play space; and caring, enthusiastic, and committed teachers.

🎉 PLAN YOUR PARADE VIEWING SPOT! 🎉

The Canal Days Parade returns Saturday, June 6th at 11AM — and here is this year’s NEW parade route!

The parade will begin at Superior Street & Thompson Street and travel north on Thompson Street, ending near Market Square where the fun continues with FREE family activities downtown at Commerce Plaza.

Why the route change?
This updated route helps improve safety, allows for stronger police presence, and helps us avoid future construction detours so we can keep this beloved tradition going for years to come 💙

Grab your lawn chairs, gather your family and friends, and start planning where you’ll watch the parade as we bring Canal Days back to Portage!
