So grateful for their support!

Donors, mark your calendars: our LAST DAY for donations is WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28, from 4pm to 7pm.

We’re taking a pause, and donations REOPEN MONDAY, JANUARY 11. That gives you plenty of time to gather your clean-out piles. Yes, even the closet you’ve been avoiding.

Why the pause? Every December:

• Our volunteers rest after The Big One and get to spend the holidays with their families. They’ve earned it.

• We get ready for January, because sorting doesn’t sort itself.

• Santa Delivers AYR uses our donation drop-off area to make sure Christmas happens for families. Santa needs the space, and we’re happy to give it.

We know it’s a long break, and we appreciate your patience. We love seeing you and we’re grateful for every donation. We just need time to catch up and share the space with other groups.

Shopping stays open on Wednesdays before Christmas: December 2, 9, and 16.

Thanks for helping us keep the pause a real pause by saving your donations for January 11. You’re the best!

We will not be processing apps or matching on the weekends.

All updates will be via email. We have over 1,000 apps now, and there is no way possible we can give daily updates to individuals on all platforms.

I know it’s hard and everyone is so nervous, we get it. Just please understand we are a little organization, getting extremely high volume.

For our volunteers mental health and their families they can’t be on call 24/7 to give daily individual updates.

The last email you received from us is the last update we can provide.

If you are still waiting on your first email, don’t fret. We will get to you.

For those out of state, we have tried our best to put our service area on everything and even twice before the application starts. People are still applying from out of state, I know… times are hard and hope in desperate times is real.

The application does give a pop up that also says “If you do not live in Lake, Porter or Laporte Indiana,we can not serve you- this is your notification that your application is not approved. You will not receive further updates. “

We wish we had a huge following, and lots of engagement on our page to allow us to branch out past our service area. We just are not that big. We hope one day we will be .

We will be sharing posts for out-of-state programs to help you find something local.

Our intake team is off on the weekends, keep your head up guys. We are working hard to make Christmas Merry and Bright!

Ps- if you go back into that file on the email and your files are renamed “ID, Proof of Kids, Proof of Income “ then you know you will soon get an email that says approved.

Adopt a local NW Indiana family from Lake, Porter, or Laporte County.

Santa Delivers is a federally registered 501c3 who serves those who have no where else to turn and cannot get assistance anywhere else, but have verified need.

Last year we had 305 families sign up , this year so far (applications close December 4th), 902 as we are seeing the “Derecho Effect”.

We have 230 screened and verified families ready to adopt currently (still in the process of going through them) .

Many families reported having to pay for generators, restock food, ice, batteries, lanterns and flashlights instead of making car payments and they are now without transportation.

Many families are working families who risk their job and wages to take off for business hour distributions. They have to choose btw keeping their job or providing Christmas. Kids don’t understand this necessary choice.

The barriers go on. Barriers not covered by any other organization. We need you.
