A Chaplains Retreat at Camp American Legion is being held from June 1-5, 2026. It is open to anyone who serves as Chaplain for The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, or Legion Riders.
The retreat will be on a first come, first served basis and includes free lodging and food. Bedding is provided, but attendees should bring their own toiletries and towels.
A free will offering will be collected on Wednesday for Camp American Legion to help defray costs.
Registration is due by May 15, 2026 or until the retreat reaches capacity, whichever comes first, so please submit your application as soon as possible. The application can be found on the ALA~Department of Wisconsin website under the programs tab>HQ General Info button:

Hello, WI Legion Family! Virtual Training Springtime 2026 kicks off Saturday February 28. Clear your calendars and take advantage of these great courses. Enrollment fee for each course is $5.
Take the Basic Course, and you will be on your way to earning the Wisconsin American Legion College Graduate pin.
The Intermediate Course follows in April, the Advanced Course in May. Fee for the Intermediate and Advanced Courses will be $15 each. All Legion Family members are welcome to attend. And yes, Legion Family members from other Departments are welcome to attend all courses.

Legion Family Day is the fourth Saturday in April (April 25, 2026) and Auxiliary Units and Legion Posts are encouraged to participate. The national organization is hosting a webinar entitled “Planning and Hosting a Successful American Legion Family Day Event" on February 10th from 7:30-8:15 pm Eastern Time (6:30 pm Central Time) to provide participants with ideas on how to successfully plan, organize, advertise, and host an American Legion Family Day. Anyone who would like to attend the Midwinter Conference at Oneida Hotel & Convention Center but hasn’t already registered may register at the conference.
Registration is on Friday from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm and Saturday from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.
The American Legion’s website has the complete program schedule: https://wilegion.org/midwinter. Anyone registered for Midwinter may attend any of the sessions listed.

On Saturday, Auxiliary members may be particularly interested in attending the following sessions being held in the Bear Room:
• 8:00 am – 10:00 am = Joint Session: Legion Family Interactions
• 10:00 am – 12:00 pm = Public Relations for the Legion Family
• 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm = ALA Reporting & General Session (will include in-depth discussion on the new online year-end reporting process, a parade of checks to support the VA Hospitals & Veterans Homes, a Leadership section, insight on info offered at the Joint Session directly related to the ALA, and Q&A).

Boxed lunches will be available at 12:00 pm for those who pre-ordered one. Otherwise, lunch is on your own. The Bear Room will be set with round tables so people can eat lunch from 12:00 – 12:30 pm.
