This summer, Michigan residents with valid library cards can enjoy free admission to the beautiful gardens at Dow Gardens during select Library Card Nights. Simply show your library card at entry. Each person ages 6 and older must have their own library card to receive free admission.

Library Card Nights are scheduled for July 15 and August 12, and offer a great opportunity to explore the gardens, spend time outdoors, and discover the "Dinosaurs of the World" exhibit—a perfect fit with this year's summer reading adventures.

Michigan’s overdose death rate peaked at 30.8 deaths per 100,000 residents in 2021. That rate is expected to have declined 47% in four years, reaching 16.4 in 2025, according to preliminary data published by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
