I was in a DT&I Group mood tonight and found the video below on YouTube called, “Henry Ford’s DT&I Railroad 1920-1929”. -- The video has good voice over by the author and shares a video from Henry Ford’s film team (very rare) onboard a train that ran from Ironton, OH to Detroit, MI. -- As hoped, the crew captured some of Washington Court House, OH and best of all, Jeffersonville, OH where the Grasshopper (aka Kingman Branch of the DT&I) ran and where we hope to build a new depot there as a museum and history center soon...

The video and time stamps to catch these places (and many more) is noted below...

🚂💨 Guys… I literally got chills looking at this.

That’s not just steam pouring into the sky — that’s the **Big Boy 4014** breathing. The absolute king of steam locomotives, the largest one still running in the world, is out there right now thundering across America like a living, breathing legend.

My heart actually skips a beat every time I see photos like this. All that raw power, the massive clouds of steam, the way the ground must shake when she rolls by… it’s pure goosebumps. This is American engineering, strength, and spirit at its finest.

Union Pacific’s Big Boy is on her epic Coast-to-Coast Tour celebrating our country’s 250th anniversary — and she’s making history from Cheyenne all the way to Philadelphia and back. The glowing map shows every stop. Those major displays in Omaha, Chicago, St. Louis, Buffalo… man, I wish I could be at all of them.

If she’s coming anywhere near your town, you HAVE to go see her. This isn’t just a train — it’s a piece of living American history you can feel in your chest.

Drop your city in the comments — is the Big Boy coming your way? 👇

Tag your friends who love trains, history, or just good old-fashioned goosebumps. Let’s get everyone out there for this!

I’m not crying, you’re crying. This is what pride feels like. Who else is completely obsessed?! 🔥🇺🇸

Nice shot!

Nice shot!

Steam giants resting at a busy roundhouse, a lineup of classic American steam locomotives being serviced and turned on the central turntable—thick smoke rising as crews prepare these iron horses for their next heavy freight duty.
