Established in 2004, ADHD Awareness Month aims to reduce the stigma, correct myths, promote understanding and help people recognize symptoms, seek diagnosis and access treatment and support.

ADHD is a neurological condition that affects focus, energy and impulse control which can cause challenges in daily life.

Please join Dementia Friendly Ozaukee County for a presentation of W**e, Women and Dementia.

The documentary feature W**e, Women, & Dementia exposes the isolation, financial stress, physical and emotional toll these family caregivers' shoulder for their dementia loved ones and themselves. And in a system that offers few resources or support, they build community, champion each other, and learn to celebrate LIFE on the long road to death. September is National Kinship Care Month.

Please help us honor the grandparents, other relatives and close family friends stepping up to raise children whose parents are unable to raise them.

National Kinship Care Month celebrates the strength and positive impact kinship care has on children and youth. It provides stability, emotional support, stronger cultural connections and better mental health outcomes.

As of 2024, approximately 2.5 million children in the United States are being raised in kinships families.

September 1st is National Forgiveness Day.

National Forgiveness Day is observed to embrace healing, understanding and unity by encouraging forgiveness and fostering empathy.

When we forgive others, it can help our overall well-being by leading change in brain activity, lowering blood pressure, reducing our heart rate, and enhance the function of our immune system.

Forgiveness can also increase our mental resilience by releasing negative emotions that disrupt our mental health.
