What we witnessed in Flatbush last week was disgraceful, and we continue to see growing instances of harassment and intimidation targeting Jewish New Yorkers.
What makes this even more frustrating is that Albany Democrats blocked two bills I introduced, designed to combat this exact type of harassment and intimidation, from even getting a vote on the Assembly floor.
-A.10785 would strengthen penalties for disrupting religious services, funerals, burials, and memorial services.
-A.10819 would make it a felony to publicly display symbols of designated foreign terrorist organizations in a threatening or intimidating manner.
Enough excuses. Inaction is no longer acceptable.
