Welcome to the Port Washington Adult Activities Center - a vibrant gathering place where independent, active adults age 55+ stay engaged, connected and happy!

🏃 FITNESS: Dance, chair yoga, tai chi, walking club, chair aerobics & more
🎨 CREATIVE ARTS: Painting, crafting, monthly bookclub
🎲 SOCIAL FUN: Cards, board games, BINGO, parties, dice (Left Right Center & Canasta)
🍽️ LUNCH: Available Monday -Thursday at noon, please call 516-883-6656 to register.
🚌 FIELD TRIPS: Theater outings, museum visits, shopping excursions & social adventures

🥨🚍 Oktoberfest, No Passport Required! 🥨🇩🇪

A lively bunch of our members had a blast on our PWAAC day trip to the Plattduetsche Park Oktoberfest in Franklin Square last Friday. Live oom-pah music, a buffet lunch, and plenty of dancing, all just a bus ride away. 🎶

💛 Heartfelt thanks to our PGT Goldies 💛

Behind every great show is a crew of amazing people working behind the scenes, and our Port’s Got Talent Goldies have been doing just that. Their time, energy, and big hearts are making our fundraiser shine, and the fun isn’t over yet. We’re collecting sponsorship donations all the way up to our big show on November 14 at 7:30 pm, at the Jeanne Rimsky- Landmark on Main Street Theater.

Thank you, Manhasset Community Fund – Greentree Foundation 💚
We had a wonderful time at the 2026 Manhasset Community Fund – Greentree Foundation luncheon last week, connecting with fellow Port Washington nonprofits and sharing ideas. How lucky we are to live in a community surrounded by such dedicated and talented people.

We're also thrilled to share that the Greentree Foundation has awarded our center a $10,000 grant. We will use this award to purchase much needed appliances, so we can keep up with the 450+ lunches we serve each month (and growing)! 😍

Heartfelt thanks to the Greentree Foundation and Tom O'Malley for believing in our mission and investing in our seniors. We are so grateful.

💧 Big news, PWAAC members! Our new filtered water station is officially here, thanks to the amazing team at Parks & Recreation, Town of North Hempstead - Government. 🙌

It's a drinking fountain AND a bottle filler, so you can sip, fill, and stay hydrated at the center. Help us stay green by bringing your own reusable bottle and skipping the paper cups. Mother Nature (and our recycling bin) says thank you. 🌎🫶
Let's make a splash for sustainability and stay healthy at the same time.

Thank you to Peter & Jeri Dejana Foundation, Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty , and the Pride in Port committee for sponsoring the annual Senior Citizens Luncheon with a delicious meal from Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace. 😋

Even though the weekend weather forced a change of plans, the luncheon was moved to our center this past Tuesday and more than 75 seniors came together for a wonderful afternoon. A special shout-out to Barbara Tromba, the hostess with the mostest, for making it all come together on short notice. It really doesn't get better than living in Port, rain or shine! 💙
