Wednesday was Administrative Professional Day , but management loves to spoil our hardworking staff an entire week. The entire week we had a duck hunt throughout the office with prizes being awarded at the end of the week, English Muffin and Jelly Day, Candy Bars with appreciation themes, a luncheon with ice cream treats, trinkets, and the week ended with a hot and cold coffee bar. We cannot say enough about this team and how blessed we are to have an amazing staff. Thank You!!

It was with great pleasure for the Clerk of Court Office and Judge Williams to again host the annual Youth Government Day. Students from all of the Oz County Districts, for a total of 67 students, as well as our local veterans, visited the County Board, Sheriff's Department, and then the courtroom. A mock trial was presented to our student jurors, and two students participated in the mock trial. As the trial proceeded, Judge Williams would stop and explain the legal process, answer questions, and provide some humor. After the trial concluded, each veteran was introduced, and they informed us of their individual service to our country. It is always an honor to acknowledge these veterans as well as share the legal process with our students.

🚨 Accidental 911 Calls: What to Do 🚨

K-9 Odin wants to remind you that if you or a child in your home dials 911 by mistake, please don’t hang up! Hanging up can make it seem like a real emergency, and dispatchers may send responders to your location.

âś… Instead: Stay on the line and explain to the dispatcher what happened. It only takes a moment, and it helps keep our emergency lines open for those who truly need help.

📱 Pro Tip: You don’t need to save “911” in your phone contacts — it’s one number you’ll never forget! In fact, saving it can make accidental calls more likely.

📊 In September, our dispatchers received 103 accidental 911 calls — and that’s just the ones that disconnected before we could answer!

💬 Remember: If you stay on the line and let us know it was a mistake, you’re helping ensure that dispatchers and officers can respond faster to real emergencies in our community. Every second counts.

Odin and our team thank you for helping us keep Ozaukee County safe! đź’™
