The actor has been identified after speaking with officers this morning. The Port Vue Police Department would like to thank everyone who provided information regarding the actor's identity.

As a reminder, per the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Vehicle Code (Title 75), it is a summary offense to be involved in an accident which caused damage to an unattended vehicle or property and leave the scene without providing personal and insurance information. It is a misdemeanor offense to leave the scene of an accident after being involved in an accident which caused damage to an attended vehicle or property.

The Port Vue Police Department is requesting public assistance with identifying the male operator of the vehicle, pictured below. He is the actor in a hit-and-run accident, which occurred on May 28, 2026 at the Romine Avenue Park. If you can identity the operator, you are encouraged to contact the PVPD at (412) 672-2255 ext. 103 or by sending this page a private message. A reminder…

Starting June 5, 2026, Paul Miller’s Law will go into full effect and police officers will have the authority to issue citations for the use of a hand-held mobile device while operating a motor vehicle. Prior to this date, officers were only able to issue written/verbals warnings.

The Port Vue Police Department encourages all motorists to put the phone down, focus on the roadway and arrive at their destination safely!

From the time of this post until likely the afternoon hours, portions of River Road, Liberty Way, Glenn Avenue and the 15th Street Bridge will be intermittently closed to allow filming of Mayor of Kingstown. The PVPD encourages motorists to be patient and if needed, utilize alternate routes of travel while experiencing delays.

If anybody receives a telephone phone call or voicemail from (412) 906-8083 from a person stating he is Sergeant Kevin Atkins, it is an impersonation and fraudulent. Do not respond or leave any voicemail at this number. The legitimate phone number for the Port Vue Police Department is (412) 672-2255.

Please report any suspicious phone numbers or phone calls to the Port Vue Police Department. The Port Vue Police Department will never, ever request banking or sensitive information over the telephone.

These photographs were taken at the Romine Avenue Park’s comfort station, and the mess was made sometime over the weekend of April 18th to April 19th. If anyone knows the identity of the responsible party(ies), they are encouraged to contact the PVPD to provide information.

The responsible party(ies) are encouraged to come forward to and take responsibility for their actions.

Thanks to (likely) the juveniles who do not possess basic respect, cleanliness and forethought (as well as their parents who have likely failed to teach their children basic respect, accountability and manners) the comfort station at the Romine Avenue Park will be closed until further notice.
