Friends of the Hastings Building

Friends of the Hastings Building Help us save this iconic historic building in small town America! The Hastings Building was built in 1889 by Lucinda Hastings, in Port Townsend, WA.

Today, it's one of the only buildings in Port Townsend that is still owned by the original family. We need your help to restore this building and bring it back to life. Check out our website at www.hastingsestate.com to see more information about our plans for the Hastings Building and its neighboring property, Hastings Landing. Permitting is underway, but we still need your input to make it the b

est project for our community! Please stay tuned for how you can help us get this project off the ground! And Thank You for Liking Us on Facebook!

Update on our Federal permits: we've had some recent contact from a new project manager at US Fish & Wildlife and things are looking good. I'm working on some additional monitoring plans to protect endangered species (particularly Marbled Murrelets) during the pile removal/driving phase of the project. Looking forward to moving back into the work of getting the project funded!

Hello all - Well, we didn't win the National Trust's THIS PLACE MATTERS campaign, BUT - we're really excited about the exposure that our participation afforded us. And we look forward to building on it! Please spread the word about "Friends of the Hastings Building" on Facebook and look for more updates soon! -Heather
