Late spring and summer temperatures offer up some of the best conditions for street repair. You’ll see crews hard at work preparing streets for chip seal & paving work on the following streets June 22 - July 1. Please drive slowly through work zones to keep crews safe. Thank you!

The PT Public Library is getting new automatic sliding doors for the main entrance. The library will be under construction June 23 and June 24. The first-floor elevators will not be accessible during construction, and the parking lot will be limited as the contractors use it for a staging area. There will only be access into the library through the Carnegie entrance off Lawrence St, up the stairs. If you prefer to have your holds or items delivered to you outside, please call (360) 385-3181. This improvement will provide better ADA access and make using the library easier for everyone. Thanks for your patience.

What's the plan for preserving Cappy's Trails? On KPTZ's Brewocracy Now last week, City Manager John Mauro and radio co-host Taylor Clark invited Public Works Director Steve King and staff from Jefferson Land Trust to have an in-depth discussion around the long-term goal to protect Cappy’s Trails and how the partnership between the City and the Jefferson Land Trust is making that dream a reality.
