Today we celebrate fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, coaches, and all the men who help children feel safe, supported, encouraged, and loved.

Research consistently shows that engaged fathers and positive male role models can have a lasting impact on a child’s confidence, school success, emotional well-being, and future opportunities.

Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience, history, and hope.

Observed each year on June 19, Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

Kaylee struggled with confidence during the school year. This summer, her family enrolled her in a summer learning program funded by Children’s Services Council where she discovered a love for nature, science activities, and hands-on learning.

Parenting isn’t always easy, especially during stressful times.

When the Rivera family faced challenges at home, they connected with a family support program funded by the Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County.

Through coaching and support, they learned new ways to communicate, manage stress, and create healthy routines.

Today, the Rivera family feels stronger and more connected.

Programs funded by the Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County help strengthen families and prevent child abuse before it happens.

Summer Learning is off to a great start! ☀️

This week, a Children’s Services Council team member visited Save Our Children Inc. as they kicked off their summer camp program. Campers enjoyed breakfast, connected with staff, and prepared for a summer filled with learning, enrichment, and fun.

Through CSC-funded Summer Learning programs, children across St. Lucie County have access to safe, supportive environments where they can continue learning, build relationships, and stay engaged while school is out.

Thank you to the dedicated staff at Save Our Children Inc. for creating meaningful opportunities that help youth learn, grow, and thrive this summer.
