Recognizing a gap between families and the services they need, the Port St. Lucie Police Department created the first-ever Autism Awareness & Community Resource event to bring together our community to spark conversations, share resources and build stronger, more connected support networks.

This event was built on one simple idea: when we listen to families and connect them with the right resources, our entire community grows stronger. 🫶

Residents who missed the event still can participate by completing the community survey or signing up for a focus group to help shape future autism-supportive programs. Take the survey here ➡️ link.cityofpsl.com/survey

These efforts reinforce the City’s commitment to data-informed, resident-driven innovation.

Get ready to experience Juneteenth in a whole new way at our second annual Celebration of Unity on Friday, June 19. ❤️🖤💚

From African drumming and dance to a storytelling station, fan clacking and live music, bring the family for an evening that blends culture, creativity and community. 🥰

We'll also be honoring a true icon, Opal Lee, the Grandmother of Juneteenth. Her determination helped make Juneteenth a federal holiday. We'll be celebrating her legacy with a special tribute, community messages and birthday celebration elements.

WPBF 25 News' Yasmine Julmisse will emcee and Caribbean Radio HD will be broadcasting live.

The event is 5-7:30 p.m. at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center.
