Double eagle alert! 🦅🦅

Big shout-out to David Decker, who scored a 2 on the par 5 No. 2 hole today at The Saints! 🥳 David used a 3-wood to hole his 200-yard second shot. 🏌

A double eagle in golf, also commonly known as an albatross, is an exceptionally rare score of three-under-par on a single hole. It typically occurs by scoring 2 on a par 5 or 1 on a par 4.

With odds around 6 million to one, it is rarer than a hole-in-one, requiring immense skill, distance and luck.

Starts are 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 8, and year-round or part-time residents from St. Lucie, Martin, Indian River and Okeechobee counties are eligible. Players must be amateurs, 16 and older.

The Saints Golf Course will close at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, and remain closed through Tuesday, Aug. 26 for course aerification procedures. The Pro Shop, practice areas and driving range will remain open. ⛳️

The course will reopen Wednesday, Aug. 27.
