Please join us in lifting the Bowers family up in prayer during this unimaginable time. Following a devastating house fire two students and their father are currently in critical condition. Our hearts are especially heavy for sweet Julian, a fourth-grade student, and little Liam, who is preparing to begin kindergarten this upcoming school year.

No words feel big enough in moments like these, but we know the power of prayer, love, and community. Please pray for healing, strength, comfort, and miracles for every member of this precious family. Pray for the doctors and medical teams caring for them, and for their loved ones as they walk through these incredibly difficult hours.

Community Safety Update from Gulf District Schools: Introducing Raptor Alert

The safety of our students and staff remains the highest priority of Gulf District Schools. As part of our ongoing commitment to school safety, we are implementing Raptor Alert, a silent emergency notification system designed to ensure rapid response during critical situations.

Raptor Alert is part of the Raptor Technologies Emergency Management System and allows staff to instantly notify school administration and law enforcement in the event of an emergency—without needing to make a phone call.

How it works:

Silent & Immediate Activation: Staff can trigger an alert using a wearable badge, desktop, or mobile app.
Faster Emergency Response: Alerts are sent instantly to key personnel and first responders.
Multiple Emergency Types: The system can be used for situations such as lockdowns, medical emergencies, or other urgent incidents.

Important Update:

Yesterday, at one of our schools, a student intentionally activated an emergency alert without cause. This type of behavior is taken very seriously, as it can disrupt learning and divert critical emergency resources. This conduct will not be tolerated. The situation is being addressed, and law enforcement is involved.

This incident serves as an important reminder that emergency systems like Raptor Alert are in place strictly for real emergencies, where every second matters.

Gulf District Schools remains dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment and will continue to take proactive steps to protect our entire school community.
