Officers greeted so many in their Halloween costumes last night at the Hudson community trunk or treat.

Students from Hudson Primary Academy, Hudson Middle School and Hudson High School attended the event for some pre Halloween candy and police swag. Thanks to all those who said hi and spoke to us about their spooky Halloween plans. 👻 🚔

The Port Richey Police Department participated in the prescription drug take back program sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The event is hosted at Walmart, where officers collected unused medications at no cost to the public.

Several of whom shared stories with us about members of their family passing away with medications they were unsure how to discard, including one individual who's love one passed away this morning.

All medications are welcome, excluding syringes and will conclude at 2pm this afternoon.

Our officers teamed up with Culver's of Port Richey last night for another success Custard with a Cop event. Officers delivered food to customers, interacted with residents and met Culver's mascot "Scoopie."

We hope you can join us for Custard with a Cop at the Culvers of Port Richey (8425 U.S. Highway 19) on Saturday, October 17, from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Port Richey Police Foundation.

Our community engagement officers enjoyed seeing everyone's costume at the Nature Coast Chamber of Commerce, Halloween themed car show (a trunk or treat event).

We can't wait to see what everyone else wears, this spooky season leading up to Halloween.

Have you noticed our pink badges? Many of our officers have swapped their regular shields out for pink ones in support of breast cancer awareness month.

This October, we proudly stand with breast cancer survivors and their families. We remember those taken too soon and show strength, hope and support in the fight against breast cancer. 🎀 🚔

We are asking the public to be extra careful this morning as continous rain has resulted in standing water on several city streets. If water appears too high, turn around, don't drown.

**UPDATE** Our new friend has been reunited with the owner. Thank you to everyone who helped. They are both happy to be together again.

Good morning, Port Richey community members! This morning, we were greeted by a citizen and this gorgeous pup, found by the river near Grand and Alto. If you could work your magic and help connect us with this lovely dog's owner, we'd really appreciate it. We are enjoying the company; however, I'm sure the owners would like to be reunited. Crew members from Publix at Regency Crossing (store 767) surprised us today with lunch and dessert. This reminds us of the valuable relationships we have with the community, businesses, and citizens alike.
