Hydro Matters to CCEC. Here's why it should matter to you.

84% of the power in CCEC's BPA fuel mix comes from federal hydropower and for nearly 90 years, that reliable, low-cost electricity has been the backbone of what we deliver to homes, farms, businesses, and schools across Coos and Curry counties.

That's not something we can afford to lose.

Oregon is currently involved in litigation challenging the Federal Columbia River Power System. Preliminary analysis points to a 6% rate increase almost overnight from a recent court ruling stacked on top of cost-based increases already hitting customers. For many of our members living on fixed incomes, that's not a policy debate. That's a real impact on their daily lives.

As a not-for-profit cooperative, CCEC is urging state leaders to come to the table with utilities, with cooperatives, and with the communities who will bear the consequences of these decisions.

Hydropower provides steady, dependable electricity 24/7. It helps keep rates stable. It supports local jobs and quality of life across the Pacific Northwest. And right now, it needs your voice.

Send a letter to your representative with the Voices for Cooperative Power link in the comments.

Thank you.
