We are incredibly grateful to the Kurt Wagner Education Fund (KWEF) for their extraordinary generosity and continued commitment to South Kitsap students and staff. This year, the KWEF awarded $16,600 in educational grants, surprising teachers across the district with much-needed funding to bring innovative ideas to life in their classrooms.
In total, 25 grants were funded out of 37 applications, representing 10 South Kitsap schools. These grants will support hands-on learning, student engagement, and creative instructional projects that directly benefit our kids.

The Kurt Wagner Education Fund’s impact extends far beyond annual classroom grants. They also provide scholarships to students at South Kitsap High School, Discovery High School, and Explorer Academy, helping open doors for future success. Over the last 13 years, the KWEF has invested nearly $185,000 into South Kitsap students and educators.
