Kitsap 911 has implemented AI-assisted technology on our new non-emergency phone line at 360-328-7711.

Every day, Kitsap 911 answers both emergency and non-emergency calls from our community. While every call matters, not every situation requires an emergency response. AI-assisted technology can help answer routine questions, collect information, and connect callers with the right resources more quickly.

What does that mean for the community?

🚨 Faster access to emergency call takers during critical incidents
📞 Reduced wait times for non-emergency callers
👩‍💻 Better support for dispatch staff during high call volumes
⏱ More efficient service overall

Artificial intelligence will not replace our telecommunicators. It is a tool designed to support the professionals who remain at the center of emergency communications every day.

The non-emergency line should be used for situations that do not require an immediate police, fire, or medical response, including noise complaints, parking concerns, abandoned vehicles, crimes that are not currently in progress, or incidents that occurred earlier and are being reported after the fact, such as thefts, vandalism, or property damage. Emergencies or situations involving an immediate threat to life, safety, or property should still be reported to 911.

For non-emergency assistance, call 360-328-7711.
