This week at the Libraries! One of our most popular programs of the summer-the Texas Floating Classroom on Tuesday at POC & Seadrift, then on Wednesday at the Main Library in Port Lavaca. We get crowded in Port Lavaca, so please join us in Seadrift on Tuesday as we have the most room of all our libraries for the program!

**Volunteer Spotlight**

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Nancy Ladshaw for dedicating multiple days of volunteer service at the POC Library. Her hard work, generosity and commitment have made a meaningful impact and we are incredibly grateful for all she has done.

We are fortunate to have such a wonderful and dedicated person supporting our library and community.

A big thank you to our Friends of the Port O'Connor Library, Inc. for donating one of the items from our library wishlist—a laminated, wall-sized map of Port O’Connor!

We are excited to use the map to highlight local landmarks and help our patrons explore and learn more about our community. We also plan to keep a binder of local restaurant and business menus available for visitors to browse. If you would like your business to be included, please drop off menus at the library, located at 506 W. Main.

We would love to have the map professionally framed in a wooden frame. If you know someone who could help with this project, please let us know!

Thank you for supporting our library and helping us showcase all that Port O’Connor has to offer. If you would like to get involved with the Friends, our FOL meeting is June 18, 2026 at 5pm, here at the POC Library.
