Tonight MTFC were invited to Fred Beans Ford of Washington to go over the anatomy and special hazards of Electric Vehicles (EV) that Ford currently offers.

Members were able to see the vehicles up on a lift and see the extra hazards that are associated with these vehicles if an incident were to happen.

The training was held by Foreman Czarnecki who happens to also work for Fred Beans in the shop. Members were joined by Washington Township Fire Department, Warren County, NJ and Washington Borough Fire Department .

We thank both 76 and 83 fire for the invite as well as Fred Beans of Washington for opening their doors for our membership!

On Tuesday night, MTFC & Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company took a trip to the Borealis Compounds Rockport Site.

Following a safety briefing; crews were able to tour the site, see the products produced, and the types of materials stored on the premises.

Site visits like this allow companies to pre-plan and allow us to respond better to emergency incidents such as fires, industrial incidents and anything else that may occur.

Both companies would like to thank Rich and his team for the hospitality and the continued positive relationship with Borealis.

This morning, MTFC responded to assist TCVC with a downed horse. While equestrian is not something that is commonly trained on, we do have members trained in heavy lifting and moving.

Thank you to mutual aid at Hunterdon County USAR for their guidance.

It has been a very interesting week at MTFC from horses to house fires, if you’re interested in any capacity from firefighter to administrative please reach out to us.

This morning around 1045 hours, MTFC & Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the 100 block of Snyder Road for the reported structure fire. After receiving multiple calls, the first alarm (Box 28-02) assignment was then dispatched.

Chief 28 arrived on location and found a large 2 1/2 story residential with heavy fire from the Charlie/Delta side of the residence. First arriving crews stretched multiple hose lines into the structure to conduct an interior fire attack.

Crews throughout Warren & Morris County were on location for roughly four hours and fought extreme cold conditions, a non hydranted area, and a very stubborn fire.

Thank you to our local mutual aid who provided assistance. The fire is currently under investigation by the Washington Twp. (Morris Co.) Fire Marshals Office.
