🦀 All students 8th grade and below must enter with a ticketed adult
🦀 No outside food or drinks allowed
🦀 A shuttle bus will run from the CHS parking lot to Sandcrab Stadium

🏈✨ **Homecoming Mum Madness in Floral Design** ✨🏈

Our Floral Design students have been BUSY the last two weeks getting into the Homecoming spirit! 💛🖤

🌼 Floral Design 1 students designed and created their very own backpack mums to show off their school spirit!

🎀Advanced Floral Design students took things to the next level by choosing to create a full-size mum, garter, or fancy backpack mum—complete with ribbons, bells, braids, and plenty of BLING! ✨🔔

💛 One of our favorite activities was creating spirit bells alongside Ms. Shirhall's students. We loved getting to share the Homecoming excitement! 🔔🏈

🍭 And we finished off the week with the CUTEST project—mini Homecoming Ring Pop mums! Because apparently even candy needs to be Homecoming-ready! 😂🎀

From learning new techniques to showing off their skills and school spirit, these students packed a LOT into the last two weeks! 🌼👏

📣CHS Homecoming Pep Rally Today, Sept 4!

Today, September 4, CHS will hold our homecoming pep rally in Gym 1 beginning at 12:55. Doors for guests will open at 12:45. Once the pep rally begins, doors will be closed.

Guests will enter through metal detectors to ensure the safety and security of all in attendance. Parents and guests are asked to remain seated in designated areas. As a reminder, students are not permitted to use cell phones during the pep rally.

👩‍🍳🍝 Ms. Shirhall’s Chefs are cooking up some learning!

Our young chefs practiced making homemade pasta with Mrs. Rodriguez! 🍝

Along the way, students worked on several important skills:
📖 Writing Skills – finding and following the recipe
➗ Math Skills – measuring ingredients
👩‍🍳 Cooking Skills – preparing and creating their own homemade pasta!

It was a fun, hands-on learning experience that combined education and cooking in the best way! We are so proud of our chefs! ❤️🍝

After only 2½ weeks, our Calhoun Piano Class is already playing a rock ’n’ roll version of “Ode to Joy!” 🤘🎼

What an impressive start to the year! A big shoutout to our talented students and their teachers, Lauree Aschen and Jake Carr, for bringing a little rock ’n’ roll energy to a classical favorite! 🖤💛

🎾 District play is officially underway—and Calhoun came out swinging!

Our Sandcrabs dominated CC Moody on the home courts last night, opening district competition with an impressive 10–1 victory! 🦀💪

We always enjoy having Dakota and Rene from the Formosa Welding School visit our welding shops and show our students how the pros do it! 🔥

Students recently had the opportunity to watch Dakota demonstrate TIG welding and Rene demonstrate stick welding, giving them a firsthand look at professional techniques and practices.

Experiences like these give our students the chance to connect what they are learning in class with the skills and expectations of the welding industry. A big thank you to Dakota, Rene, and Formosa for continuing to invest in our students and future welders! 👨‍🏭👩‍🏭⚙️
