Season's Greetings Port Jefferson Station and Terryville Residents,

The Port Jefferson Station / Terryville Civic Association would like to remind you that our next civic meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday December 16th, 7pm at the Comsewogue Library.

Our Guest Speaker for the evening will be our New York State Assemblywoman Rebecca Kassay. Please join us to hear Assemblywoman Kassay's 2025 New York State Legislature Session accomplishments for our community and the 4th Assembly District.

This will also be a great opportunity to learn about Rebecca's priorities and focus. It is also a great opportunity for us to highlight issues we care about in our community and want Rebecca to focus upon on our behalf as she heads back to Albany for her 2nd term in the New York State Legislature.

Our Guest Speaker for the evening will be Peter Busacca, a Nursing Home Administrator. He will discuss how the Nursing Home industry developed; who qualifies for nursing home care; and tips on how to choose a good nursing home.

Greetings Port Jefferson Station and Terryville Residents,

The Port Jefferson Station / Terryville Civic Association would like to remind you that our next civic meeting is scheduled for Tuesday May 27, 2025, 7pm at the Comsewogue Library.

We have several items on our agenda for the evening:

1. We'll discuss updates on local matters of concern; including a 9 home subdivision being proposed between Terryville Rd. and Jayne Blvd (just south of Terryville Elementary School).

2. The opening of a Time Capsule from the 1970's! This unique item was recently discovered during the demolition of the Teacher's Federal Credit Union Bank (formerly Suffolk Federal Credit Union?) at Jefferson Plaza, on the corner of Rt. 112 (Main Street) and Cherub Lane in PJS. Come see what the former local residents / bank employees thought interesting enough to share with the future?

3. Our community enrichment Guest Speaker will local historian, Bev Tyler. She'll speak about the connection between Woodhull Ave and the Revolutionary War! How our nearby forefathers (and mothers!) established our Nations first Spy Ring for George Washington and turned the tide of the War which established our country.

Greetings Port Jefferson Station and Terryville Residents,

The Port Jefferson Station / Terryville Civic Association would like to remind you that our next civic meeting is scheduled for Tuesday April 22, 2025, 7pm at the Comsewogue Library.

To mark Earth Day this year, yes, that's right Earth Day is April 22nd, we thought it would be a great opportunity to hear from the Suffolk County Water Authority (SCWA). The SCWA will have a representative at our meeting to present a modified version of SCWA’s “Water Talk” program. “Water Talk” engages the community on water quality and testing, recent infrastructure improvements, operations and drinking water conservation issues.
