As many of you know, Discovery City's current location was only temporary until we found our forever home, and we are moving a little earlier than expected. July 9 will be our last day open at our current location on 317 Grand River Ave.

In the meantime, we are preparing, designing, and planning for our new space on 310 Huron Ave. We are looking forward to the future, and we are excited to continue this new adventure in downtown Port Huron.

At this time, we do not have an opening date for the new location, but we’ll have updates coming soon. Please follow the Museum’s social media accounts for future Museum announcements.

Museum memberships and sponsorships will be extended. Those who have rented the facility or signed up for any programs with the Museum will be contacted.

Thank you to all who have supported us and for all the new friendships we have made so far. We are driven to make Discovery City bigger and better than ever for our community.

Additionally, thank you to the Community Foundation of St. Clair County and Knowlton family for supporting our vision.

For additional questions, please call the Port Huron Recreation Department at 810.984.9760.

The Port Huron Parks and Recreation Departments will be closed today, June 19, in observance for Juneteenth.

Recreation programs will run as scheduled, and this closure does not affect Discovery City Children's Museum.

We encourage those who wish to learn more about Juneteenth to visit the Fine Arts Building at St. Clair County Community College to walk through their Juneteenth exhibit.

The exhibit explores the significance of Juneteenth and the enduring contributions of African Americans to the nation’s history and culture.

City offices and facilities will be closed Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth is a time to reflect on freedom, history, and the continued importance of community. Facilities will reopen Monday, June 22.

Refuse pickup will not be delayed.
