In Port Huron, fresh water is part of everyday life. From Lake Huron and the St. Clair River to our parks, beaches, drinking water, boating, fishing, and waterfront views, our community is shaped by the water around us.

During Great Lakes & Fresh Water Week, the City of Port Huron is proud to recognize the importance of protecting, appreciating, and preserving our freshwater resources for future generations.

Residents can help by keeping debris out of storm drains, properly disposing of waste, and respecting our shoreline, parks, and waterways.

Fresh water is part of who we are — let’s take care of it.

With warmer weather here, we’re seeing more people out walking and enjoying downtown. Please remember to slow down, stay alert, and yield to pedestrians at the yellow crosswalk signs located in the middle of the street.

These signs are there to help keep everyone safe. A few extra seconds of caution can make a big difference for our residents, visitors, and families crossing the streets.

Thank you for helping keep our community safe and pedestrian-friendly!
