Blue Water Middle College Providing an opportunity for students in St. Clair County to make a successful transition to college Clair Community College (SC4) in Port Huron.

The Blue Water Middle College (BWMC) is a public school academy providing an opportunity for high school students to successfully transition into college over three years. The BWMC is unique, because students take their high school classes at a variety of partnering high schools, often their home high school, and they take their college classes at St. By the end of grade 13, students can earn thei

r high school diploma from the BWMC and an associate degree from SC4. Students are provided support and guidance from the time they tackle their first college courses through their applications to four-year universities. College tuition, books, and fees are paid for by the middle college while a student is enrolled. BWMCA Staff::

Students and families have the opportunity to ask questions and get insight into how the BWMC can help students get ahead in their academic careers. We can’t wait to see you there!

Our evening presentation at Algonac Jr/Sr High School is tomorrow, February 25 at 6:30 p.m. Blue Water Middle College director Matt Ruiz will give students and families a look into the academic advantage offered by the BWMC, and how it can help students achieve their academic and career goals and the support structures in place to ensure that students succeed. If you can’t make it this time, don’t worry! We have presentations scheduled at high schools all over the county. Students and families are welcome to attend whichever presentation best fits their schedule.

Join us on the second floor of the SC4 Welcome Center, and learn about the academic advantage offered by the BWMC. Blue Water Middle College staff will be available to talk with students and families about the BWMC, the resources and support it offers students, how it gives students a head start in their academic and professional pursuits, and to answer any questions about the BWMC. We can’t wait to see you there!

The Blue Water Middle College gives high school students the ability to take college classes while still in high school at no cost to students or families. The BWMC offers a unique advantage to students, allowing them to get a head start earning college credit before even graduating high school, and even earn an associate degree alongside their high school diploma.
