Sunkist first graders are stepping into the vibrant world of dance as they start learning Bollywood dance! 🎶

Besides being a ton of fun, this high-energy art form is a wonderful way for our young learners to explore rhythm, movement, and rich cultural traditions through music and expression. 🌟

¡Los alumnos de primer grado de Sunkist se adentran en el vibrante mundo de la danza al comenzar a aprender el estilo Bollywood! 🎶

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing students from Charles Blackstock Junior High School who presented at last night’s Board of Education meeting. They spoke with confidence, insight, and pride—giving our board members and community a firsthand look at the great things happening in their school. 🏫

Last week, our teacher induction candidates and their dedicated mentors gathered at the Ventura County Office of Education for their kick off meeting. We're so proud of these educators for pairing up to collaborate, grow, and support one another as they pave the way for student success this school year. 👏🏼

La semana pasada, los participantes de nuestro programa de inducción docente y sus dedicados mentores se reunieron en la Oficina de Educación del Condado de Ventura para su sesión inaugural. From today through October 15th, HESD joins the nation in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. We are proud to honor the vibrant cultures, rich histories, and enduring contributions of Hispanic communities.

We are deeply grateful for the students, educators, families, and community leaders whose heritage, talent, and passion strengthen and inspire our school community every single day.

Please join us on September 21st to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month! 📖🎉 We're celebrating with book readings from Dr. Kathleen Contreras, live entertainment, crafts, and food. It’s an evening of literature, culture, and family fun!

📚✨The first Professional Learning Day at E.O. Green was a great opportunity for teachers to learn, collaborate, and grow together!

A special thank you to our community partners at the Ventura County Office of Education, Mr. Ridge, Ms. Salas, and Dr. Ramos, for spending the day at Green and working alongside our teachers. We also want to thank our partners from UC Santa Barbara for providing a writing workshop that supported our teachers in strengthening instructional practices for our students.

As we continue this work, we are proud to build partnerships not only across Ventura County, but also with our higher education partners. These collaborations help us expand opportunities for professional learning, strengthen instruction, and provide meaningful supports for all learners.

We are grateful for the commitment of our Green staff and for the partners who continue to invest in our teachers and students. 💚

Honoring Our Hometown Heroes!❤️

In honor of Patriot Day, Beach students created heartfelt thank-you letters and drawings for our local first responders. From colorful fire trucks to sweet notes of gratitude, our young learners loved showing appreciation to those who help during emergencies and who keep us safe every day! 🚓🚒🚑

We are so proud of our students and forever grateful for our dedicated community heroes.

Con motivo del Día del Patriota, alumnos de Beach elaboraron dibujos y emotivas cartas de agradecimiento para los equipos de emergencia de nuestra localidad. Desde coloridos camiones de bomberos hasta dulces mensajes de gratitud, a nuestros pequeños estudiantes les encantó expresar su aprecio por quienes nos ayudan en situaciones de emergencia y velan por nuestra seguridad cada día. 🚓🚒🚑

Thank you to all of our incredible families who came out to Hathway yesterday for Back to School Night! It was amazing to see the classrooms filled with enthusiasm, parents connecting with teachers, and students proudly showing off their school space. 🏫

Strong partnerships between home and school make all the difference, and last night proved once again how supportive our school community really is.

Here’s to an amazing school year ahead!⭐

¡Gracias a todas nuestras increíbles familias que asistieron ayer a la Noche de Regreso a Clases en Hathaway! Fue maravilloso ver las clases llenas de entusiasmo, a los padres conectando con los maestros y a los alumnos mostrando con orgullo su espacio escolar.
