The Lincoln-Nekoosa-Port Edwards-Adams/Friendship High School Trap Team will be participating in the Wisconsin High School Clay Target League State Shoot on Saturday, June 6th.

The Team will be shooting trap on field 13, from ~9:30 am through late afternoon.

The coaches would like to invite you to come watch our athletes take the field to shoot towards individual and team awards. 18 of our 21 Spring 2026 Team members will be participating in the state event at the WTA Homegrounds, our home club, in Rome WI. What an incredible way to close out the school year! ☀️

The John Edwards Middle School 5th through 8th grade kickball tournament brought plenty of excitement, competition, and Blackhawk pride.

After a day full of great plays and unforgettable moments, the 8-2 team emerged as the champions with a thrilling victory in the championship game!

🎉Congratulations to 8-2, and thank you to all of our students and staff for making this event such a fun and memorable experience. Go Hawks! 🧡🖤

Move over, college signing days!

The John Edwards High School Class of 2039 held their very own signing day as current 4K students signed their "letters of intent" to join Ed Heuer Elementary for the 2026-27 school year! 🖊️🎉

A big thank you to Mrs. Moldenhauer, Mrs. Henne, Mrs. Reeves, and the Blackhawk Mascot for making this such a memorable and fun experience for these future elementary students.

Orchestra Open House 2026 ✅

Students in grades 5-9 had our fourth annual Orchestra Open House during the last week of school, showcasing some very impressive abilities to commemorate our year (including sword fighting). Don't worry, no instruments were harmed in the making of this performance. The 11 students in this performance worked extremely hard, were held to high expectations both in and out of lessons, and stood up to the challenge very well. You can watch the performance at the link below. Two students at the beginning had the opportunity to work on a solo as well, in addition to the three pieces played by the full group.

The Port Edwards School District is extremely grateful for our support circle these last couple of years and is excited for the continuation of this program each year. Thank you again to Port Edwards Education Foundation -PEEF for the years of supporting this exciting project that you might otherwise only see in bigger school districts. 6 out of the 11 student instruments in this performance were purchased through PEEF after getting our first award, which is what started this program.

Registration for Stuff the Desk is now open and we want to make sure every family who needs it knows about this amazing opportunity! 🎒✏️

United Way of South Wood and Adams Counties is once again providing backpacks filled with school supplies to students in need heading into the new school year.

Here is how to participate:
Students must register between May 1st and August 1st, 2026 by visiting uwswac.org, calling 211 or 877-947-2211 Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, or scanning the QR code in the graphic.

After registering, families will select a pickup time on August 14th or 15th at East Junior High School, 311 Lincoln St. in Wisconsin Rapids. Pickup will be at the back of the school on 6th St.

The school carnival sponsored by Port Edwards Parent Organization was an absolute blast!

Students had a fantastic time enjoying all the fun, and Mr. Bena was a great sport for taking on the dunk tank. Watch the videos to see how it all went! 🎡💦
