NOTICE: Scheduled Maintenance at Parking Lot #2

Parking Lot #2, located at 45 S. Main St., will undergo scheduled maintenance from Monday, June 15 at 7:00 a.m. through Friday, June 19, 2026.

During this time, please do not park inside the coned area in Parking Lot #2.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s cooperation while these improvements are completed.

Please also note: The parking area on the other side of the blue barrels is private property owned by Tome’s Landing Marina. Vehicles parked there without authorization may be subject to towing.

The annual Farmer's Market opens for the season this Saturday, June 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You won't want to miss it!

So that you can plan ahead, below is a map that includes vendor information and parking locations.

Can't make it this weekend? The Farmer's Market will be open on the 2nd Saturdays of each month until October from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event is hosted by the Deposit Chamber of Commerce .

ORDINANCE 2026-01 - NOTICE OF ADOPTION

The Council of the Town of Port Deposit adopted Ordinance 2026-01 – Fiscal Year 2027 Annual Budget at their meeting on June 2, 2026, after a public hearing was advertised and held as required by the Charter of the Town of Port Deposit. The FY 2027 Annual Budget will take effect from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. A copy of the adopted budget is available on our website at www.portdeposit.org, or is available at Town Hall, 64 S. Main Street, Port Deposit.

The Port Deposit Planning Commission will hold a meeting on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in Town Hall, 64 S. Main Street, Port Deposit, MD to consider the following:

Annexation Resolution No. 11-2026 and Exhibits for the annexation of 34 acres, more or less, Tax Map 29B, Parcel 648, Phase IA, East of the BG&E Right-of-Way in the Fourth District of Cecil County, knows as the “Bainbridge Property”, and in so doing to repeal and re-enact with amendments Article II, Section 201 Records and Description of Corporate Boundaries, of the Charter of the Town of Port Deposit. Annexation Resolution No. 11-2026 and Exhibits were introduced at the May 19, 2026 Council meeting and referred to the Planning Commission for consideration and recommendation.

INVITATION TO BID
TOWN OF PORT DEPOSIT, MARYLAND
ROCK RUN EMBANKMENT STABILIZATION PROJECT

The Town of Port Deposit, Maryland is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Rock Run Embankment Stabilization Project, located at 23 Race Street, Port Deposit, MD 21904.

The project includes restoration of stone masonry wingwalls, stabilization of embankment erosion along Rock Run, and replacement of an existing timber pedestrian bridge deck. All labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the work shall be provided by the Contractor. June 2026 bid document is available on the Town of Port Deposit website at www.portdeposit.org. Paper copies may be purchased at Town Hall for $75.00.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the project site. Sealed bids will be accepted until July 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at: Town of Port Deposit, 64 South Main Street, Port Deposit, MD 21904. Bids will be opened after the deadline. The Town of Port Deposit reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
