The Evil Awakening
Not just a walk in the woods...
The Evil Awakening was started with the native massacre of the settlers along the Portage River. The US Troops retaliated and drove the entire Hiawata Tribe to this very property and killed every last one.
Ever since then locals say the land was cursed and evil has been attracted to this area like a magnet. Some even say there is a porthole to hell here. Many campgrounds, cabins, and businesses were attempted on the property but all failed. Currently residing is a kayak business called Portage River Paddling Company. Many believe the people who own this are doomed and cursed and their time is coming near.
Rumor has it that past campers and residents of this property include Ted Bundy, Donald Gaskins, Jeffrey Dahmer, and John Wayne Gacy, all modern day serial killers.
