On May 24th, the Ohio Naval Militia supported the Blessing of the Fleet ceremony at the Catawba Island Club. Special thanks to SA Rogers, PS2 Chellis, OS2 Ziganti and LT Chellis for participating in this event that pays tribute to the boating community.

On May 18, 2026, Ohio Naval Militia sailors and the US Coast Guard escorted the Jet Express carrying Special Olympics athletes and their families to Put-in-Bay for a day of ceremonies and recognition.
Upon our return, the Port Clinton Fire Department provided a ceremonial water salute to recognize these terrific athletes. Special thanks to our maritime partners: the Jet Express, US Coast Guard and the Port Clinton PD.
