The Port Chester Police Department proudly recognizes and congratulates PCHS Seniors Saul Guerra, Ariel Coyt, and Austin Nij for successfully completing the Westchester Youth Academy!

Through immersive hands-on training, interactive demonstrations and leadership development, these students gained invaluable, behind-the-scenes insight into law enforcement, criminal justice, and community service.

We wish them the absolute best in their future endeavors—keep working hard and leading by example! 🚔 🎓

This program succeeds thanks to strong multi-agency teamwork. Thanks to Detective Abbott for directing the program of Ardsley PD . Special thanks to PCPD Chief Rosabella and Captain Nielsen for their steadfast support of local youth as well as SRO Morales—a proud graduate of the program in 2017—who returns each year to help instruct the next generation.

The Village of Port Chester is advising residents that one of its sanitation vehicles has been detained by Westchester County after traces of radiation contamination were registered during its drop off this morning.

In an effort to limit the number of additional trucks from being potentially impacted by such contamination tomorrow and so on, we are distributing this notice to homes located in the general vicinity of Shelley Avenue/ Robert Avenue/ Hawley Avenue this afternoon.

We ask that all village residents who may be under the care of a physician who prescribes treatments or medication regiments for them that utilize radiation or radioactive elements arrange for the disposal of all contaminated refuse to transpire privately and consult their physician for necessary guidance.

The Village of Port Chester cannot collect radioactive material.
