FCAT Transition

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) is transitioning from the FCAT to the FCAT 2.0 to align with new academic standards. The new FCAT 2.0 tests utilize a different score scale than the previous versions. However, the new scale was equated to the older scale to allow scores to be compared, and student growth scores to be calculated. In this year's score report, students' previous FCAT scores used for growth will be reported using the new scale and will therefore be different than the scores reported last year. For more detailed information, please review the document:http://www.yourcharlotteschools.net/documents/media/FCAT2.0.pdf

Kids Tag Art is a school fund raising project that inspires 5th grade art students to design their own specialty license plates while at the same time learning about the design elements and principles. Each student's "tag art" can be purchased, printed, and displayed on the front of a car, in a frame, on the wall, or given as a special gift. All proceeds from the sales of the tags go to Charlotte County Public Elementary Schools' art programs. Two unique tags are available from each elementary school, with three special overall winners. Order a Charlotte County Kids License tag directly online by going to www.cctaxcol.com.
