While many students plan their future following our Summer Internship Program, one intern decided to stay with us for good. Charlotte High School Fighting Tarpons graduate Kasey Knapp quickly fell in love with public service and is now part of our Meter Services team as an employee. It's a chance for him to serve the community he calls home. ๐Ÿ™Œ

35 years. Thatโ€™s how long weโ€™ve been proudly serving the residents of Charlotte County.

In 1991, the Charlotte County Commission acquired General Development Utilities. Since then, weโ€™ve grown alongside the community to meet the need for safe, reliable services.

Hereโ€™s to 35 years, and many more. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿšจ Normal service is restored. A precautionary boil water notice is not required.

The Utilities Department thanks the community for its patience as we resolved the issue.

---

Crews are responding to a water main break in the area of Boundary Boulevard and Rotonda Boulevard East that may cause low water pressure for some customers. It is not yet determined if a precautionary boil water notice will be issued. We thank customers for their patience as we work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

The vests are hung up and our Summer Internship Program has come to a close. We're proud of the students who spent their summer serving the community, the family members who encouraged them along the way and the staff who invested their time mentoring them. These vests will be waiting for them when they're ready to begin a career in water utilities. Until then, we wish them all the best in the classroom and beyond. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ง
