It is with great sadness that we share this post.
On Feb 22, 2025 the law enforcement community lost another hero. Officer Andrew Duarte was killed in the line of duty when he responded to an active shooter situation at a UPMC hospital in York county. Officer Duarte and fellow officers engaged an armed man when he paid the ultimate sacrifice, giving his life in defense of innocent life.
Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to the Duarte family and our brothers and sisters in blue at West York Police Department. May you all find peace in this difficult time.
