♻️✅ It’s a GREAT DAY to recycle in PA!

The Port Arthur EDC is proud to partner with the City of Port Arthur, Keep Texas Beautiful, and H-E-B to celebrate the opening of Port Arthur’s new Recycling Center!

Thank you to Keep Texas Beautiful and H-E-B for recognizing the importance of recycling and the need for greater recycling opportunities in our community. Today marks the beginning of a cleaner, greener Port Arthur! 🌎💚

We encourage our local businesses and residents to take advantage of this new community gem located behind the Bob Bowers Civic Center.

The Grand Opening festivities will continue until 1:00 PM today, so come by and be part of the celebration. And don’t forget your cardboard! 📦♻️

Last Friday, we had the honor of celebrating another successful Youth Employment Program cohort!

This summer, 22 students gained hands on experience in healthcare, municipal government, public service, engineering, and finance through our community partners. We are incredibly proud of these students, who represent four Port Arthur high schools, and grateful to the 13 host employers who recognized the importance of investing in our future workforce.

A special thank you to Representative Christian Manuel for serving as our keynote speaker and taking time out of his busy schedule to pour into our students and guests. One message from his remarks especially stood out:

"One day you will have the opportunity to help a young person, and I hope that you don't forget who you are and where you came from." — Representative Christian Manuel

To our students, thank you for representing yourselves, your schools, and our community so well. The future is bright, and we can't wait to see where your journey takes you.
