Trinity by the Sea Episcopal Church welcomes locals and visitors alike to worship, connect, and become part of a caring community. Rooted in their mission to serve as a spiritual and charitable resource of God’s love in Port Aransas, the congregation offers opportunities to grow in faith, build relationships, and give back through serving ministries, Bible studies, and social activities.

Beyond Sunday worship, Trinity By the Sea is an active part of island life. The church operates a thrift store and Day School and hosts activities such as yoga and karate classes. Fr. James Derkits, who has served the congregation since 2012, is also actively involved throughout the Port Aransas community.

Everyone is welcome at Trinity By the Sea, regardless of denomination or background. Whether you call Port Aransas home or are simply visiting the island, you’re invited to join the congregation and experience its warm, welcoming community.

Sunday Services: 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Summer Sunday Service: 10 a.m.
Church on the Beach: Once a month
Tuesday After School Church for Young Families: 4:30 p.m.

Port Aransas, The Island Life has been named DMO of the Year by Destinations Texas , as part of the statewide Destination Excellence Awards.

The award recognizes destinations making a real impact on the Texas travel industry, through successful campaigns, industry recognition, increased visitation, signature events, and the kind of work that moves a destination forward. Being recognized among DMOs across the entire state means a lot, and it's a reflection of more than just our team's work. It's built on the tourism and community partners who make Port Aransas worth telling stories about in the first place.

Yesterday, Port Aransas hosted its first Telecom Summit, bringing every organization responsible for connectivity on Mustang Island to the same table, in the same room, for the same conversation.

AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. Brightspeed and Spectrum. FirstNet and public safety leadership. All discussing how the island is served today, where that service is headed, and—critically for a barrier island—how each organization operates when a storm threatens.

We are excited to continue to work alongside the City of Port Aransas and the island's telecom partners to make sure the people who live here, work here, and visit here can stay connected no matter what the season brings.
