She has been the director of DCD for the past six years, a 20year small business Owner/Architect and a 28 year resident of Clallam County Washington. In 2002 the citizens of Clallam County voted to make the then appointed position of Community Development Director, an elected position. On November 3, 2020 the citizens of our County will again have the opportunity to vote for the position of Direct
or of Community Development being an elected position vs being an appointed position. Interestingly, many people really don't know what the function of DCD is, or the important role it plays in how we live and prosper as a community. It is so much more than the place you get a building permit. In addition to the Building Division, it also oversees Long Range Planning, Zoning, Land Uses, Public Safety and Natural Resources, all of which help to support a thriving economy. It is imperative that the person running the department, that will affect so many local families today and 20 years from today, be the right person. I maintain that I am that person. I hope that you will do your own research when considering this vote. Feel free to contact me 360 460 7710.
