The Swordfish recently celebrated an incredible milestone, the retirement of BM1 Leclair, after years of dedicated service, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our waters and serving our country.

You’ve made a lasting impact on everyone who had the honor to serve alongside you. Your dedication, courage, and integrity represent the best of the Coast Guard. As this chapter comes to an end, may the next one bring new adventures.

During yesterday’s all hands, SWORDFISH’s own SN Gilman was recognized by Sector Commander CAPT McDonnell for her outstanding initiative and dedication. She volunteered to lead the unit’s rescue and survival program in preparation for the demanding transfer season—a responsibility typically held by a Petty Officer Second Class. Her commitment to service and leadership earned her formal recognition from the command, as well as the Sector Commander’s coin. Bravo Zulu, SN Gilman!

Yesterday members from USCGC SWORDFISH joined forces with our local law enforcement partners and other Coast Guard units to participate in the annual Shop with a Hero event! Members of the crew spent the day shopping with children of all ages in preparation for the upcoming holidays. The crew enjoyed the opportunity to help out our local community and spread holiday cheer!
