‼️‼️Training Post Alert‼️‼️

Today’s crew did not pass up the opportunity to get underway for some classic two boat training! It was cold, it was windy, it was choppy AND it was a perfect challenge for our crew on board our small boats. We train in uncomfortable weather environments so if we are called upon, our crew is ready.

Pictured on the back deck of the Response Boat Medium is BM3 Benavides and MK3 Saito instructing SN Cordova-Pacheco on how to properly conduct a stern tow.

Pictured in the cabin of our Response Boat Small is our Officer in Charge, BMCS Newton offering suggestions to our crew members on ways to perfect our craft.

‼️BIG FRIDAY FOR STATION PORT ANGELES‼️

Today we said see ya later and good luck to very significant members at Station Port Angeles!

BM1 Galan was our Operations Petty Officer. He successfully coordinated the station’s operations, working with multiple other agencies to conduct various missions. He played a key role in the mentorship of not only junior coxswains and boatswains mates, but members at our stations helping guide them along their journey. We can’t thank you enough for all your hard work while on board at Station Port Angeles.

BM2 Ford is departing and leaving her mark at our station. While at our station, BM2 Ford acted as a leader of one of our sections, paving the way for members to learn and grow. She was our rescue and survival petty officer, law enforcement instructor, president of the Coast Guard Enlisted Association and so much more. Thank you BM2 Ford for your dedication to our station.

SN Heppler is departing, expanding her career opportunities to experience all of what the Coast Guard can offer overseas in Bahrain. While here, SN Heppler acted as a vital role getting qualified very quickly and helped conducted many search and rescue cases. Thank you for your hard work and commitment to not only Station Port Angeles but the United States Coast Guard!
