Tomorrow at approximately 8:30 am, residents in the proximity of the Arnold Ave. Bridge will see a loss in water service while the new waterline is installed as part of the bridge replacement project. We apologize for the inconvenience.

MEETING CHANGE: The regularly scheduled Borough Council meeting has been changed to Monday, June 8 at 5:30pm. Borough Council members and staff are attending the PSAB Annual Conference in Hershey.

Construction for the replacement of the Arnold Ave. Bridge will begin tomorrow. The bridge will be closed to all traffic until the project is completed in October. There is signage placed along the new detour route.

Beginning on June 1, 2026, Casella will collect recycling weekly instead of bi-weekly. Customers will be receiving a call from Casella informing them of the change as well. The Borough would also like to remind residents that if you have any issues with garbage/recycling collection, DO NOT call the Vermont office. Please use the local contacts below.

Port Allegany Community Clean-up will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Borough building at 45 W. Maple St. Borough residents must pre-register at the Borough by June 6. Cost is $20/load.

Port Allegany Borough is accepting letters of interest to serve on the Zoning Hearing Board. This board meets as needed to review zoning issues and hear variance requests. Letters, made to the attention of Jeremy Morey, Borough Manager, can be sent to the Borough Office or hand delivered at 45 W. Maple St. Letters will be accepted until June 4, 2026.
