Looking for a fun, active, and educational morning for your kids? Dust off those bicycles and join us for an exciting morning of riding, learning, and safety!

🗓 When: Saturday, June 27th | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Where: Poquoson Primary School (19 Odd Rd)
🧒 Who: Kids ages 7+
🎒 What to bring: BYOB (Bring Your Own Bicycle!)

Every single child who participates will walk away fully equipped to ride safely. Each registered child receives:

We're Super Excited for the 250th Anniversary of America! We are inviting all City Youth to participate in the upcoming "Why I Love America" Poster Contest. Submit your original artwork to Poquoson Parks and Recreation by June 16th. We will display them at the Picnic in the Park Event and award prizes. Open to Grades K-12. All posters should be 8.5 x 11 or larger. Show us your great work!!!

The American Legion Holloway-Moore Post 273 will host a Memorial Day ceremony at 10AM on May 25, 2026 at City Hall (500 City Hall Ave). The public is invited to attend.

UPDATE: The scene has been cleared and the road is now open to traffic.

Poquoson Avenue is closed to traffic near the Poquoson Middle/Elementary Schools and Fire Station 1 (Poplar Street to Bunting Lane) due to a car accident. An update will be posted when the scene has been cleared.

City Council will hold a budget work session on Wednesday, 5/20/26 at 9AM in Council Chambers. Immediately following the work session City Council will reconvene the regular meeting recessed on Monday, 5/11/26.
