Every day, there are people in our communities who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of others. Now is your chance to recognize them!

Students, staff, and families are encouraged to nominate a mentor, coach, volunteer, neighbor, or other everyday hero whose kindness, leadership, and dedication have made a lasting impact.

This year, three exceptional individuals from the Peninsula, Southside Hampton Roads, and Northeastern North Carolina will each receive a $3,000 "Thank You" gift in recognition of their service to others.

PMS started a buddy program this year where students came into Ms. Shepard's classroom for lunch to visit and assist other students. It was a huge hit and built a great community!! These pictures were from a pancake breakfast that they did as an end-of-year celebration.

Our 8th-grade Tech Systems students took flight this year! 🚁 Students designed and built drone attachments capable of carrying supplies, then put their engineering skills to the test by navigating challenging obstacle courses. Through hands-on learning, they explored real-world drone technology, problem-solving, and teamwork. To top it all off, every student earned their FAA Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) Certificate, becoming certified recreational drone operators. We're proud of their innovation and achievement!

It might officially be summer, but we'd like to share some great activities from last week!

Pictures here is a PEF funded project our second graders completed. Students each designed and painted a rock as a gift to PPS primary school. The rocks will be housed on our playground until they come over as PHS seniors for the graduation walk. After the walk, they will take their rock home. They hope to continue this tradition each year at PPS!
