..FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southern Mississippi, including the following
counties, Hancock and Pearl River.
* WHEN...Until 845 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 538 PM CDT, the public reported street flooding near US
Highway 11 in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 2
and 5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Picayune, Poplarville, Mcneil, Kiln and Stennis Space Center.
