The Fort Peck Tribal Police would like to thank the Poplar Volunteer Fire Department, Northeast Montana Health Services EMS, Roosevelt County Sheriffs Office, Fort Peck Tribes Fish & Game Department, and our local dispatchers for their quick response to assist tribal officers with the search for a missing child east of Poplar on this day, June 6th, 2026.

The child was found safe and returned to family before the thunderstorm struck.
