We had a great time with the critters (and their humans) from Chester's Barn at our Community Day event. As they say, “sometimes stress relief has four legs.” They are welcome back in our truck bay anytime!

🚑❤️ CPR & AED Awareness Week ❤️🚑

Every year, thousands of lives are saved because someone nearby knew how to perform CPR and use an AED. When a cardiac emergency happens, immediate action can make all the difference.

As you head into summer, whether you're spending time at the lake, traveling, attending community events, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, remember: No matter where your summer plans take you, make sure you’re prepared and confident to save a life if necessary.

Southern Cayuga Instant Aid (SCIA) offers CPR and AED training for individuals, businesses, community groups, and organizations. Our classes provide hands-on instruction and the confidence to respond when every second counts.

Interested in scheduling a class or learning more? Contact SCIA today and take the first step toward becoming someone's lifesaver.

This week, we celebrate National EMS Week and recognize the incredible dedication of EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, educators, mechanics, support staff, and all who make emergency medical services possible. 🚑💙

At Southern Cayuga Instant Aid, we are proud of the compassionate professionals who answer the call—day or night, in all weather, during people’s best moments and their hardest ones.

But recognizing those who work in EMS should not be limited to just one week each year.

Every day, EMS professionals miss holidays, work long hours, comfort families, make split-second decisions, and show up when their communities need them most. Their commitment deserves appreciation year-round.

To our providers and EMS partners everywhere: thank you for your skill, your sacrifice, your resilience, and your heart. We are grateful for all that you do.

Happy EMS Week! 💙

SCIA EMTs and firefighters tend to a "patient" at the Mock DWI Drill held at SCCS today. The well-choreographed fatal accident scene illustrated the many lives that are affected by impaired or distracted driving. Many thanks to the organizers and the many agencies involved and to the students for participating and learning from the scenario. We hope that this scene never plays out in real life in our district (or anywhere else for that matter).
