- Livestock Area: Meet Scottish Highland cows, Holstein calves, goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, and poultry.
- Live Demos: Watch sheepdog herding by Plow and Stars Farm and meet adoptable minis from Fox Lea Mini Horse Rescue.
- Farmers Market: Shop local flowers, honey, produce, and handmade goods.
-FARM-TO-FOOD TRUCK: Welcoming Deere Valley Farms Food Truck serving up delicious eats from their farm-raised meats!
- Silo Bar (New for 2026!): Enjoy local spirits and craft cocktails sponsored by Calleva Farm.

CoMMotion Dance is proud to bring their passion for dance back to Poolesville Day 2026! Members of their Performance Companies, aging from 5-18, will perform multiple styles of dance that showcase creativity, discipline, and teamwork.

Taking the Whalen Commons Stage at 1:15 is Pictrola

Pictrola got its start at DelFest Academy in 2017, when late-night jams grew into a band fueled by bluegrass tradition, improvisation, and a love of the unexpected. Since then, Pictrola has taken its high-energy, ever-evolving sound to Grey Fox, DelFest, IBMA Showcases, Watermelon Pickers Fest, and stages alongside the Del McCoury Band, Infamous Stringdusters, Larry Keel, Danny Paisley and Southern Grass, and the Dirty Grass Players.

With roots stretching from bluegrass and jazz to the Grateful Dead, classical music, soul, and beyond, five distinct musicians come together to create arrangements that are never quite the same twice. Their originals and covers stretch, shift, and find new ground in the moment.

Pictrola’s 2023 debut album, Time Rages On, featured “Indy Air,” selected for Spotify’s Newgrass Playlist, and “More Than We Can Fix,” winner of a 2024 WAMMIE Award. In 2025, the band released a series of singles capturing the energy and spontaneity of their live shows. For Pictrola, the music is meant to be alive—and every performance is a chance to take it somewhere new.

Who’s excited for all the entertainment on Poolesville Day?!? We have several awesome acts lined up for you at different locations throughout the day. First up on the Main Stage is Patrick Budd

Patrick Budd is a Folk/Americana artist from Poolesville, MD based out of Washington, DC. With personal, powerful lyricism inspired by writers such as Noah Kahan, Zach Bryan, and Tyler Childers, Patrick weaves heartbreak and nostalgia into moments in time he wishes he could go back to. His debut album ‘Suburban Bench Swing’ is an open book about this very feeling, and it is available to be streamed everywhere.

He performs on the Whalen Commons Stage at 11:00 am.

Thanks for all those who have submitted nominations for this year’s Poolesville Day Grand Marshal! If you know of someone who has provided outstanding acts of service and is dedicated to improving our community, please nominate them! The deadline for nominations is July 31st!

In 1992, Poolesville held its first “Poolesville Day”. The event was a small affair, but it continued to be held each year, growing in size and in the number of vendors, entertainment venues, and attendees.
