Sorry for your loss my friend.

Sorry for your loss my friend.

Yumi and I are heartbroken to learn of the passing of our dear friend, Gary Mangum.

There was no kinder or more generous person. Gary had a quiet way of lifting people up, always putting others first and never asking for recognition. He believed deeply in helping people, and he lived that belief every single day.

Gary was with us from the very beginning. When few believed an upset was possible in 2014, Gary did. His encouragement, his support, and his friendship helped make the biggest surprise upset in America possible. We will never forget the faith he showed in us when it mattered most.

Gary was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a loyal friend. He showed up for the people he cared about, not just in moments of celebration, but in times of need. Countless lives are better because Gary was part of them.

Our prayers are with his wife, Sonia, his children, his family, and all those who are grieving this tremendous loss. Yumi and I will miss Gary deeply, and we will always be grateful for his friendship.

We had a great meeting with Artie Harris, the Chairman of the Planning Board from Park and Planning. It was very informative for everyone. The agricultural community looks forward to a strong relationship with the staff, and we anticipate working closely with them in the future. Together, we can protect the Ag Reserve for the future generations of farmers in Montgomery County.

Please give our farmers a wide birth as they move their equipment from field to field. These folks are running 24/7 during harvest time. Please give them the right away because without them you’d be driving through a development instead of a country road

“ Preserving and Maintaining Rustic Roads

An example of one of Montgomery County's Rustic Roads, via Montgomery Planning
I'm excited about the progress the Council made in our recent approval of the County's Rustic Roads Master Plan.

Rustic Roads share certain characteristics of more rural roadways and are an important reminder of the County's agricultural history. They also can make for great scenic routes.

Many of these roads are in the County's Agricultural Reserve. To support farming for future generations, we must make these roads safe and functional for all users - including those moving around on large agricultural equipment. During the Rustic Roads Master Plan process, the Council set up dedicated and routine maintenance projects for Rustic Roads for the first time. This is a big step that should improve our ability to preserve this unique aspect of our County.”
